FIR lodged against Askme.com and Askmebazaar.com

A well known e-commerce portal selling online grocery, e-wallet and other products is in trouble after a Delhi court ordered an FIR to be lodged against it.

Metropolitan Magistrate Pankaj Sharma directed the local police to register a case of cheating and fraud against Askme.com and Askmebazaar.com after allowing a complaint by a firm that the e-commerce portal cheated it.

The court decided to go ahead with its directions on the basis of initial reports filed by the police.

Facts disclose ex-facie commission of cognizable offenses and in the considered view of the court, field investigation by police is required in this case, the court observed in its order.
