Adilabad SP gives staff day off to watch movie

Days after the R Narayana Murthy and Jayasudha starrer – ‘Head Constable Venkatramaiah’ hit the screens in Telengana, a senior police official was so pleased with the film that he gave his staff a day off.

“Many corporate companies give holidays to their employees to watch popular movies. Head Constable Venkatramaiah is small budget movie made in the district (Adilabad),” Adilabad Superintendent of Police Srinivas said.

The story of the movie is very inspiring, it says even constables can also become role models if they are honest, Srinivas said.

We had asked theatre owners to book seats for us but they sponsored instead, he added.

Head constables across the district along with SP Srinivas will watch the special screening of the movie today.
