Women ticket checkers deployed in long-distance trains

In-a-first for Western Railways (WR), two women ticket checkers were deployed in long-distance train on March 8. Women power rode to new heights with the Mumbai-Surat Intercity Express on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The women ticket checkers — Neeru Wadhava and Radha Iyer — checked commuters travelling in first class on Mumbai-Surat Intercity Express on Wednesday.
