Pakistan move up to No. 2 in ICC rankings after 2-0 win

The Misbah-ul-Haq-led Pakistan side has moved up to the second spot in the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for Tests following their comprehensive 127-run victory in Sharjah that helped them wrap up the three-Test series 2-0 against England on Thursday (November 5). England have dropped down to the sixth spot.

Pakistan are tied on rating points (106) with third-placed Australia and will lose their spot if Steven Smith & Co. record a victory in the Brisbane Test against New Zealand. South Africa sit atop the table with 125 rating points while their current opponents, India, are six rating points behind Australia’s tally at the fourth spot.

England, who’ve dropped down to sixth, are on par in rating points with New Zealand (5th spot) at 99. Sri Lanka (93 rating points), West Indies (76 rating points), Bangladesh (47 rating points) and Zimbabwe (5 rating points) occupy spots from seventh to tenth.
