ED attaches Karti Chidambaram’s assets worth Rs.1.16 cr.
The Enforcement Directorate has provisionally attached assets worth Rs.1.16 crore said to be linked to former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram.
The assets in question are in the form of bank accounts and Rs.90 lakh in fixed deposits. The Directorate has taken the action in connection with a money laundering case.
The agency alleges that attempts were being made to sell most of the assets and close some bank accounts and therefore, such an action has been taken.
A property located in Gurugram, which was under ED scrutiny, was allegedly sold off.
