Deepika Padukone on training with Pandit Birju Maharaj

Legendary Kathak dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj has choreographed Deepika Padukone’s song her in upcoming film Bajirao Mastani.

The period film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, tells a love story of Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao and Mastani. “There is a Kathak song in the film. It has been choreographed by Pandit Birju Maharaj. In fact, I was in Delhi for a week for one-on-one sessions with him.”

Deepika said she was happy that Pinga was the first song that she shot for the movie as she had Priyanka for support.
