StarDust, QA specialist, launches WE ARE TESTERS, a freelance Crowdtesting platform, therefore enriching its testing offer, multiplying testing possibilities with a unique combination of testing approaches; in the laboratory; on-site or through the crowd.

Businesses from all industries are permanently looking for innovative services that will help them give their customers the best digital experience possible. The ongoing pressure of ever shortening time-to-market deadlines has allowed disruptive services such as Crowdtesting to become one of the preferred solutions to secure digital products.

In comparison to what “traditional” QA operated from the laboratory can offer, Crowdtesting gives access to an international crowd of freelance testers based all around the world, offering a diversity of QA experience. Certain types of testing services, such as testing language and location features, and getting access to an increased device pool is made easier. Testing results are also delivered faster, with tests being done simultaneously around the world by several testers.

Finally, a smaller budget can be allocated to Crowdtesting, enabling companies that couldn’t afford testing with the lab, such as startups, to better test their products and ensure the end quality of their product.

Not all projects can be crowdtested, but not all projects need thorough testing either. That’s why we created WE-ARE-TESTERS and we developed a way to combine traditional in the lab testing and Crowdtesting, each approach complementing the other. The ability of mixing both approaches as a delivery-model is enabled whilst retaining quality control.

Quality is the core value of this combination as StarDust is the link between crowdtesters and clients. Freelance testers go through a rigorous hiring process (and can then pick and choose campaigns). Thanks to a dedicated platform, StarDust’s Project Managers oversee crowdtesting campaigns and check the test results before delivering the bug report. Thus, testing either through the lab or with the crowd, the quality of QA remains.
