Telangana State likely to have 26 districts
Sources said that after reorganization, a draft has been made to make the State with 26 districts. The final reports would be submitted to the government on Monday in the two day Collectors’ meeting at the Secretariat.
It may be recalled that the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has earlier announced that the State would have either 24 or 25 districts. The collectors held gram sabhas and also obtained the opinion of political parties and leaders.
A final call will be taken by the Chief Minister either on Monday or Tuesday said sources.
