Congress Chief Supports TDP In Telangana
Following the formation of KCR government in Telangana, the two prominent opposition parties Congress and TDP have been trying to muscle out each others in a bid to cash in on the anti incumbency in the 2019 polls.
Leaders of both Congress and TDP were at loggerheads even during the GHMC elections early this year. However, in a rather unexpected gesture, the Telangana Congress Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy has come in as a moral support for T-TDP following the Speaker’s decision to remove TDLP office in Telangana assembly.
Speaking to the media this evening, Uttam said that even though TDP has lost all of its MLAs to TRS, the party must still have its office in the assembly premises. Uttam also reminded that even the parties that had a single MLA in the assembly were given officers during the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
Uttam went on to term the Speaker’s decision unfortunate. Meanwhile, the TDP leaders met Governor Narasimhan to give a complaint against the Speaker’s injudicious decision.
