Mobile Compatibility Testing Service Launch

London, UK – 07/07/2016 – Following the recent rebrand from The Test People – Centre4 Testing, Ten10 is delighted to launch its first new service offering, Mobile Compatibility Testing.

The new Mobile Compatibility Testing service provides clients with the assurance that their software will meet the ever-increasing expectations of their customers across a broad range of devices, operating systems and browsers on mobile.

The flexible and efficient service uses practices specific to mobile device testing, providing the fast feedback required to react to the constantly-changing mobile landscape.

The service is suitable for any clients with products that can be accessed via a range of mobile devices, in particular projects enabling responsive or adaptive design and projects developing apps and mobile-friendly platforms.

Ash Gawthorp commented, “We have been told by clients that it can be a significant challenge for them to stay on top of the changing devices, operating system and browser updates as they are released, both from a cost point of view of acquiring the devices but also managing the resource peaks that occur to carry out testing around new release dates.

As part of our mobile compatibility testing service we provide clients with advice on what devices, operating systems and browser versions to test and when, based on statistical trends and historical compatibility issues, that is then used to inform test coverage.

Furthermore our specialist expertise in mobile testing – across a range of industries and technologies – means we provide our clients with a deep understanding of the risks and issues associated with specific types of devices or browsers.”

Ten10’s risk-based approach to testing ensures the right blend of effort and coverage is achieved whilst structured exploratory testing provides clients with adaptive test coverage, allowing resources to be allocated quickly and efficiently.

Clients benefit from access to Ten10’s device labs which allow testing to take place across all popular devices and browsers without the high up-front costs.

There are flexible delivery options for the mobile compatibility testing service; from project-based testing for a specific product release through to an on-going managed service which provides peace- of-mind that compatibility risks are identified and tested for on an on-going basis.

The service is be delivered by Ten10’s highly experienced and talented team of UK-based, qualified testers.

About The Test People – Centre4 Testing

The Test People was created in 2007 by Gav Winter and Andy Slight, with Ash Gawthorp and Chris Thompson joining in 2008 as founders, equal shareholders and company directors. All four founders having met whilst working at Accenture.

An award-winning business, The Test People received extensive recognition as a fast-growing, independent UK software testing consultancy, winning places on the Sunday Times TechTrack100 and the Deloitte Fast50 (2014, 2013) together with the Institute of Directors awarding Gav Winter the titles of SME Director (2014, 2015) and Director of the Year for Yorkshire (2015, Runner-up 2 2014).

The company offered clients a highly technical and innovative approach to testing, ranging from utilising the latest toolsets to developing bespoke testing solutions for complex test, performance and automation challenges. The Test People was tool and technology agnostic based on agile delivery principles meaning that testing can be delivered in any client scenario.

Centre4 Testing was founded by Tony Wells and Ryan Hannigan in 2004, having previously worked together at Mission Testing – a software testing business co-founded by Wells in 1998.

A specialist provider of software testing services, Centre4 Testing helped clients to manage the significant risks involved with software implementations, upgrades and integration, proving system functionality or performance. Centre4 Testing contract resourcing provided a flexible service of professional software testers to clients on a contractual basis. It is the business line upon which the company’s early growth was based.

As the market demanded a wider testing offering, Centre4 Testing successfully transitioned from being a contracted staffing business to a provider of a broad range of testing services which included consultancy and managed services delivering test management, planning & process improvement and tool automation advice.
