Intronis MSP Solutions Doubles New Code Test Coverage with Typemock
Six month study results in 93% user satisfaction rate of Typemock’s Isolator product.
TEL AVIV – August 30, 2016 – Typemock announced the results of a six-month case study of the benefits of Typemock Isolator. The study was conducted by Intronis MSP Solutions – the single-source provider that delivers data protection and security solutions for businesses. Intronis found that unit testing with Typemock’s flagship product resulted in a doubling of new code test coverage.
Typemock Isolator mocks, or isolates, the code components which are not under test. This allows developers to easily construct test cases where the outcomes are the expected behavior and also expected exceptions for abnormal inputs. The result is more test cases covering a wider range of scenarios, leading to higher quality code leading in to QA.
Intronis MSP Solutions found that Typemock Isolator was able to powerfully isolate, fake, and inject objects. The consistent API can mock everything, including private and static methods and fields. Additionally, it allows users to write unit tests without having to change their code. Key findings of the study included 100% of code could be tested, zero bugs since implementation, an average 2-3 minute test writing time, and an 93% user satisfaction rate among Intronis developers.
