Renault launches automated manual transmission Kwid

French auto major Renault on Friday launched the automated manual transmission (AMT) version of its popular small hatch Kwid at an introductory price of Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new product is priced Rs 30,000 more than the Kwid 1-litre manual transmission version.

“Looking at evolving customer preferences, AMT technology is becoming popular in the compact hatchback segment and we are happy to build on our portfolio by launching the Kwid AMT,” Renault India Operations Country CEO and Managing Director Sumit Sawhney said in a statement.
