AIADMK to work under Sasikala’ leadership

The general council of the ruling AIADMK on Thursday resolved to work under V K Sasikala, a close aide of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, and entrusted the post of the general secretary of the party with her until an election is held for the same as per the bylaws of the party.

A resolution to this effect was proposed by 23 leaders, including chief minister O Panneerselvam and deputy speaker of Lok Sabha M. Thambidurai and seconded by the over 2000 general council member.

Party’s general council that met in a marriage hall at Vanagaram on the outskirts of Chennai passed 14 resolutions.
