Car enters platform at Mumbai’s Andheri station

In a major security breach, a car entered Andheri’s platform No.1 during the peak hours on Monday morning.

Western Railway (WR) officials said that the incident happened at around 9:15 am at platform No.1 that caters to Harbour Line services.

A senior WR official said, “The driver of the car is a 23 years old youth. He drove the vehicle on to the platform from McDonald’s side entrance. The driver has been arrested.”

According to eye witnesses, commuters waiting for the train panicked after seeing the car entering the platform.
