Esha starrer joins Oscar race

After the nomination of Chaitanya Tamhane’s Marathi film Court in the foreign language category, Esha Deol starrer Care Of Footpath 2 has been selected as a lateral entry for the Academy Awards.

The Kannada film is by director Kishan Shrikanth. Esha’s mother actor Hema Malini tweeted: “Wonderful news which I must share with all of you! Esha’s bilingual movie in Kannada and Hindi has made a lateral entry into the 2016 Oscars! “Premiere will be in Los Angeles, USA, in October, before release in India.
