Five-year-old sexually abused by watchman in Nalasopara

A five-year-old girl was sexually abused allegedly by a 71-year-old security guard of her building in Nalasopara. The accused has been arrested.

The incident took place on Thursday in the compound of the building located in Evershine, Nalasopara (east). At around 6.30 pm, the girl was playing with other children in the building compound.

The building watchman allegedly took the girl to his cabin and made her sit on his lap. He then began touching her inappropriately. A resident of the building saw the sexual abuse and pulled up the watchman. She then alerted the girl’s mother.

The residents along with the mother approached the Tuling police station. They dragged the watchman to the police station where he was later arrested The watchman insisted that he was only talking to the girl.

The accused has been booked under IPC section 376 (rape) and under sections 4,18,12 of Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO).
