From Cop to Corporator

Bengalure: Worked as a cop and now she is at set to serve as a corporator. This 35-year-old woman constable has thumped her opponents to triumph the BBMP elections in her maiden attempt.

News is just out that J.M. Savitha, a BJP candidate from the Srinagar ward in South Bengaluru, has come out victorious by defeating JD(S) candidate Nagaratana Thimme Gowda with a lead of 495 votes. Interestingly her father Mayanna contested the BBMP elections last time from Srinagar as a BJP candidate but lost by 88 votes.
