Girija Vaidyanathan takes charge as TN Chief Secretary

The new Chief Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu, Ms. Girija Vaidyanathan, took charge on Friday at the Secretariat in Fort St. George in Chennai. She also took additional charge as the State’s Vigilance Commissioner.

An officer of the 1981 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Ms. Vaidyanathan met Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam formally, who wished her on her appointment.
