Goa Deputy Speaker airlifted to private hospital in Mumbai
The Bharatiya Janata Party MLA and deputy Speaker Vishnu Wagh, who was hospitalised for second time within two months after suffering a cardiac attack on August 15 was on Thursday airlifted to a private hospital in Mumbai.
In a very serious condition, Mr. Wagh was ferried from the Goa Medical College hospital (GMC), in north Goa to the Dabolim International Airport under supervision of senior doctors and a police escort late on Thursday evening before being ferried to Mumbai in a specially chartered ambulance aircraft.
“We have asked the government to ensure that all of Mr. Wagh’s medical expenses should be borne by it,” said Goa BJP president Vinay Tendulkar.
