‘Google in Sync with PM Modi’s plan to take yoga to all schools in India’
Google has framed a new plan to create awareness about importance of yoga among common man at the global level. “Publicity will be given to India’s history, culture and tradition under the plan,” said Chetan Krishnaswamy, country head (public policy), Google India, inaugurating a three-day workshop for 500 NSS officers/volunteers of RGUHS organized by SDM Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences College, Ujire.
“As per directions given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, steps will be taken to publicise yoga in schools using internet, he said. A special programme will be drawn up using help from Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala,” he said.
“With advent of technology, 400 million are using internet and another 200 million are accessing internet on their smartphones. This is making people prone to various health issues, cure for which is in yoga to provide,” Krishnaswamy added.
