Happy to be back as Prem: Salman

Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath-Saath Hain — all superhits of Salman Khan produced by Rajshri Productions, but the 49-year-old actor believes his latest collaboration, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, is his best. “It is very special for me to return as Prem. This movie is along the lines of Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun in terms of entertainment and humour, but it is, by far, Sooraj’s best work.

It is reminiscent of my old films, and Prem is naughtier than ever,” Salman said. The actor, however, had one concern before signing the film playing an aged, stuck-up Prem. “I was hoping Sooraj does not turn Prem into an aging, serious, grumpy man, and when I heard the story, I was happy that he didn’t.

We were laughing a lot during the narration.” The superstar wants his audience, especially kids, to take away with them more than just “enjoyment” from his films. It’s quite evident from his last film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was a heart-warming tale of a Hanuman devotee, who defies odds to take a deaf-and-mute Pakistani girl back to her country.
