J Manjula has been appointed the first woman director general (DG) of the DRDO

Bengaluru: J Manjula has been appointed the first woman director general (DG) of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO).

She is the recipient of DRDO Award for Performance Excellence, Scientist of the Year 2011, and India Today Woman Summit Award -2014.
