Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa launches ‘MGR Amma Deepa Peravai’

Deepa Jayakumar, niece of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, on Friday formally launched ‘MGR Amma Deepa Peravai’, signalling her entry into Tamil Nadu politics.

“My journey in politics begins today,” she said, unveiling the party flag.

Ms. Deepa also said she will definitely contest from the R.K. Nagar constituency. “Loyal AIADMK party members will be behind me,” she said.
