KCR announced Foreign Education scheme
Telangana sources have stated that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced a new foreign education scheme for the aspired Telangana students belonging to backward communities and encouraging poor students to pursue studies in the world class educational institutions.
It was stated that under the scheme, students studying professional courses like engineering and medicine would be provided up to Rs 20 lakh financial assistance to pursue further studies in the well known foreign educational institutions across the world.
The scheme has been named as Jyothirao Pule Oversees education scheme. The students who are interested in doing research in sciences will be given first preference in providing assistance.
It was added that this year alone government targeted to send 300 students on foreign studies. Rs 60 crore has been allocated for the scheme for the present year. The enthusiastic students can directly approach Social welfare department and avail the opportunity.
