Leonardo DiCaprio on hush hush visit to Agra
Leonardo DiCaprio visited the Taj Mahal on Saturday during his guarded trip to India.
The Wolf of Wall Street actor, is in the country to shoot for a documentary film on climate change.
“He reached [the Taj] around 7:15 a.m. and left around 9:30. He was wearing a cap, black sunglasses to conceal his identity and was surrounded by bodyguards,” said an IANS photographer.
“They were trying all measures to keep the visit low-key as whenever someone tried to get close to DiCaprio or tried to click his photograph the people were asked to leave him alone,” he added.
DiCaprio, who sported a grey t-shirt and a light beard, took selfies at the Taj gardens. The actor travelled to India with his mother, some family members and a photographer.
The Hollywood actor has been named the United Nations messenger of peace on climate change.
It is reported that DiCaprio was in the country to meet Sunita Narain of the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) for an upcoming documentary film on climate change.
