Manikya Vara Prasad joins TDP

Former Congress Minister D. Manikya Vara Prasad joined Telugu Desam Party in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu here on Sunday.

Welcoming him into the party, the Chief Minister said that TDP’s doors were always open for good people and those who want to be part of development. Seeking people’s cooperation, Mr. Naidu said what was needed in the present juncture in the State was development and not politics. He said the government was giving equal importance to both development and welfare programmes.

Social Welfare Minister R. Kishore Babu, MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and other leaders from Guntur district were present.
