Massive fire kills over 60 at Paravur temple in Kerala

Over 60 people died and around 200 injured during a firework tragedy at Puttingal temple, Paravur, Kollam this morning. The accident happened around 3.30am. According to police, the shed where firecrackers were stored caught fire leading to an explosion. The firework started around 1am marking the conclusion of temple festival.

Seriously injured people have been admitted to government medical college, Thiruvananthapuram. Others have been admitted to various hospitals at Meeyapuram and Kottiyam.
