Mozilla Firefox browser launched for Apple’s iOS devices

Mozilla has finally released the Firefox browser app for Apple’s iPhones, iPads and iPod touch. The app had been available for public preview since September this year.

The iOS version of the Firefox browser shares several features with its desktop counterpart, such as flexible search, intuitive tab management, syncing with Firefox accounts and private browsing. It can also sync browsing history, tabs and passwords and bring bookmarks from other devices to Firefox for iOS when users log into their accounts.

On the official blog, the Firefox team wrote: “We are going full speed ahead on continuously delivering new features.”

Among a few notable Firefox for iOS features mentioned on the blog are Search Suggestions to predict what you’re looking for in search engines and Visual Tabs to manage multiple tabs on the same screen.
