PM to launch Mission Bhagiratha on Aug 7
After taking over as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is making his first official visit to Telangana on August 7 to formally launch the flagship program “Mission Bhagiratha” at Gajwel in Medak district. The Pm will also participate in various developmental programs.
It is learnt that the PMO, in response to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s appeal during Delhi tour, has confirmed to Telangana Government about Modi’s tour to the State and asked it to make necessary arrangements.
Though it is not officially announced, Modi is to unveil Mission Kakatiya Pylon, lay foundation for Textile Park and Kaloji University all in Warangal district and 4000 MW thermal power plant Ramagundam in Karimnagar and dedicate to nation the Jaipur power plant in Adilabad on the same day.
As per Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, the Centre has to construct 6000 MW power plant and it approved 1600 mw plant in first phase at Ramagundam. At Gajwel, the Prime Minister will unveil a new logo of Mission Bhagiratha under which 64,000 houses and 243 habitats will get potable waters. In the wake of PM’s tour, Irrigation Special Chief Secretary S K Joshi and Chief Engineer Nagendra Rao are making it to Warangal on Saturday to closely monitor the Mission.
