Pranjala wins doubles title

Y. Pranjala along with Tamara Zidansek of Slovenia won the doubles title in the Orange Bowl ITF Grade A junior tennis tournament in Florida (USA) on Sunday.

The duo beat Eleni Christofi of Greece and Anastasia Detiuc of Moldova 6-2, 6-2 in the final.

One fourth of the 180 points for the title will be added towards her combined ranking for the 25th ranked Pranjala, who was ranked a career best 17 in June.

Pranjala, who is coached by Sanjay Kumar, has been training at the Nick Bollettieri Academy in recent weeks and will continue with her training in the US and get ready for the Australian Open junior championship.
