Pulimurugan, directed by Vysakh has become the first Malayalam film to collect Rs 100 crore. Mohanlal, who plays the eponymous hero in the film centred on man-animal conflict thanked the viewers and the crew as the film crossed 100 crores in his Facebook post.

The film has broken the record set by another Mohanlal-starrer, ‘Drishyam’, which had grossed over Rs 70 crore.
