Sasikala to formally take over as AIADMK chief tomorrow

V K Sasikala, who was appointed to the top post in the AIADMK on Thursday, will formally take charge as the party’s general secretary tomorrow, the party has said today.

The AIADMK headquarters at Royapettah is being spruced up for the occasion with a dais being set up near the MGR statue to facilitate Sasikala to pay tributes to the party founder before taking charge.

She is expected to formally assume office as the party chief by 11 am tomorrow, AIADMK spokesperson CR Saraswathy told PTI.
