Swimming championship in Belagavi from November 28

Swimmers’ Club and Swim Club will host the 15th National Paralympics Swimming Championship 2015 here. The championship is being organised by the Paralympics Swimming Association of Karnataka affiliated to the Paralympics Swimming Federation of India and Paralympics Committee of India. It will be held at J.N. Medical College Swimming Pool in Nehru Nagar for two days from November 28.

Announcing the schedule at a press meet here on Thursday, organising secretary and president of the host clubs, Umesh G. Kalghatgi, said the event was being held for the first time in the city. Around 450 swimmers in three age groups from 17 States had confirmed their participation. The participants had been further split into 12 different sub-categories for boys and girls, men and women. In all, there would be nine individual and two relay events for all age groups.
