Three killed as arch under construction collapses in Hyderabad

Another tragic incident, three workers died and four others were injured when an under construction arch collapsed at the CBCID Colony, in Kukatpally, near the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU).

The arch collapsed at about 4 pm, leading to the instant death of Dharmarao (45), Nagabhushanam (45) and Janardhan (55). Those who were injured have been taken to Landmark hospital nearby.

KPHB police said that a case will be registered against the contractor, Subhash.

The tragedy just a day after a building collapse at Chilkalguda on Monday night, killing two. GHMC Commisioner Janardhan Reddy, who visited the spot, directed the central emergency, town planning and fire department personnel to rush to the spot. He also ordered an inquiry into the incident.
