TV actor Siddharth Shukla booked for rash driving
The Oshiwara police on Saturday booked TV actor Siddharth Shukla for rash driving after his BMW crashed into three other vehicles and perched itself on the divider near the police station.
Police said Shukla, who was driving a BMW X5, rammed his car into an Innova and then onto an Alto and Mahindra Kwid after he lost control of his vehicle when he reached Toraskar Marg in Oshiwara.
“Shukla was sent for a medical test by the police, his reports are awaited,” said a police official.
“By looking at the condition of the car, one can imagine at what speed the vehicle was being driven. Police later called in the towing van to move the vehicles from the road,” said Dhaval Shah, a local resident.
Rajkumar Dubey, the driver of the Alto, claimed to have sustained serious injuries in the incident. The others, who only received minor injuries, left without reporting to the police station. When contacted, Paramjit Singh Dahiya, DCP zone 9, said, “An FIR under section 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) was registered against Shukla.”
