Two killed in fire at match box unit near Sivakasi

Two persons were killed in a fire accident at a safety matches godown at the Deal Nagar here.

The deceased were identified as Anand (40) and S. Karuppasamy (50) of Kovilpatti.

The duo had come to buy waste match sticks.  According to reports, while handling the waste, a sudden ball of fire engulfed them killing them on the spot.

The disaster happened around 2.30 p.m.
