Voonik hires Groupon’s Himmat Padode as Chief Data Scientist

Bengaluru-based fashion marketplace Voonik has hired Himmat Singh Padode as its chief data scientist to strengthen its analytics platform.

Padode joins Voonik from Chicago-based deal provider Groupon, where he led the company’s international data team from its Silicon Valley office.He comes with 14 years of experience in data science and insights across companies including Essar and Religare.

Padode will report to Voonik’s chief executive Sujayath Ali.

“As we grow and diversify, we want to get more precise on our personalization model and add layers and habits into the algorithm to show a highly personalised feed,” said Ali.

“Himmat has hands-on experience in data driven personalization and prediction models and is an ideal person to lead Voonik’s data team.”
