YouTube launches new video tools for video creators
Google-owned YouTube has launched some new features for video creators. The new features are aimed at giving creators more control over comments made by users.
YoutTube creators can now promote a specific comment by pinning it on top in the comments section.
This lets you highlight great engagement from your fans or share information with your audience, said Courtney Lessard, Product Manager, Google in the company’s blog post. Creators can also ‘give a heart’ to their favourite comments on the videos.
In addition, whenever a creator comments on a video, his/her username will appear under the text with a different colour. This makes it easier to recognize the comments posted by the video creator.
YouTube also revealed some features that are in beta stage and will arrive in the coming months.
One of these is the ability to choose comment moderators. The moderators selected by the video creator can remove public comments from videos. Furthermore, YouTube will send some comments to creators for review if they include some blacklisted words or phrases.
