Captain Eoin Morgan smashed a 37-ball fifty as England beat India by seven wickets in the first T20I at Green Park in Kanpur on Thursday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Riding on their openers’ fiery start, Morgan’s mid-innings onslaught and Joe Root’s finishing hits, England chased down the 148-run target with 11 balls to spare.
