30-year-old woman alleges gang rape in Tiruvallur

A 30-year-old woman has lodged a complaint with the All Women Police alleging that she was gang raped on a deserted road in Tiruvallur on Thursday night.

According to the police, the woman, a resident of a village in Tirvallur working in a private company in Sriperumbudur, was riding pillion with her company manager Karthik, on Wednesday night.

“She claims that while they were riding through Manoor Koot Road, Paparapakkam village, situated 15 kilometers from Tiruvallur town, the wheels of the motorcycle got stuck in a ditch,” said a police officer.

“While trying to get it out, three men came out from the bushes and reportedly gang raped her after attacking Karthik,” added the police officer.

Following the incident, she got admitted in the Tiruvallur Government Hospital. Subsequently, a complaint was lodged with the Tiruvallur All Women Police station and a case has been registered.

“She has a minor cut on the eyebrows. We are interrogating the manager Karthik too,” said a woman constable in the police station. The police have begun investigating the case.
