Parthiv Patel replaces Wriddhiman Saha for third England Test

Parthiv Patel, the 31-year-old wicketkeeper batsman, is set for a Test comeback after eight years as he has been named as replacement for Wriddhiman Saha for the third Test between India and England in Mohali starting from Saturday (November 26).

“BCCI medical team confirms that India wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha developed a strain in his left thigh during the second match of the five match Paytm Test Series-2016, played against England at Visakhapatnam,” a BCCI media release stated.

“As a precautionary measure, Saha has been advised rest and will not play in the next Test match of the series. Parthiv Patel will replace Saha in the Indian team for the third Test to be played from November 26, 2016, at Mohali,” the release added.
