Police complaint lodged against HCA officials

Despite all the controversies surrounding them, Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) officials have remained unfazed. To build pressure on them, the opposition has approached the state police.

Former EC member T Shesh Narayan lodged a complaint with the Inspector of Police, Uppal Police Station, against some of the office-bearers and EC members. They are: Arshad Ayub, K John Manoj, R Devraj, Purshottam Agarwal, Adnan Mahmood, P Yadagiri and Surya J Prakash. The complaint says that “the above members have cheated, created documents and accounts and misappropriated public funds belonging to the BCCIHCA worth crores of rupees.”

The complaint also says that the BCCI had appointed Deloitte to investigate “mismanagement, cheating, creation of document, fudging of accounts and misappropriation of accounts” in the HCA accounts. Deloitte had submitted its report to the BCCI in March this year.
