Karun Nair had a sum total of just 17 runs to his name. But when the opportunity presented itself, on Day 4 in Chennai on Monday (December 18), Nair did not hold back. He notched up his maiden Test hundred, resuming from the overnight score of 71, doubled it up a while later, and when the team needed quick runs to push for a declaration, switched gears to convert into a rare triple.
