Ross Taylor included in New Zealand squad for Bangladesh Tests

Ross Taylor returns to the New Zealand fold and has been picked in the 13-member squad for the two-Test series against Bangladesh at home, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced today. Taylor was out of action since December after undergoing an eye surgery.

It’s great to have Ross back,” Gavin Larsen, the New Zealand selector, said. “He has a phenomenal record that speaks for itself and he’s coming off a terrific hundred in his last Test. He’s obviously been an essential part of our Test side for a long time and brings invaluable experience and knowledge to the group.

The first Test will be played in Wellington from January 12 before the teams head to Christchurch for the second game from January 20.

Squad: Kane Williamson (capt), Trent Boult, Dean Brownlie, Colin de Grandhomme, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls, Jeet Raval, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor, Neil Wagner, BJ Watling (wk).
