Vikramajit Sen appointed DDCA administrator
Vikramajit Sen, the former Supreme Court judge, has been appointed as the administrator of the Delhi and and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA), the Delhi High Court announced on Monday (January 30). Sen will take over from Mukul Mugdal, who according to the Press Trust of India, didn’t not wish to continue.
Sen worked as a Supreme Court judge from 2012 to 2015 and has also worked as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.
The court also asked Sen to meet the Registrar of Companies before the DDCA elections and ordered audits of accounts of the years 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15.
The two-member bench of justices S Ravindra Bhat and Deepa Sharma also confirmed it will be overseeing the matter and the administrators can file periodic reports. The bench handed Sen the responsibility of reconstituting the cricketing body’s working and sports committees after a meeting with the board’s members.
