Air India promotes San Francisco flight with offer
Air India, which will introduce a direct flight connecting New Delhi and San Francisco from December, has offered complementary domestic Executive (Business) Class return tickets for First Class and Business Class passengers who would be booking in this new sector.
This flight, Air India’s longest ever, was announced by Prime Minister Narandra Modi during his visit to San Francisco last month to provide easy connectivity for the growing number of information technology professionals and members of the start-up community.
“The offer is available on tickets booked between October 1, 2015 and January 15, 2016, which can be availed on travel between December 2, 2015 and January 31, 2016. Applicable taxes will be paid by the passenger. The passenger may also give the award ticket to any of his nominee,” Air India said in a statement on Saturday.
Air India will deploy a Boeing 777 in this long haul route.
How profitable would be Air India’s new international destination is something to be seen. Currently Air India operates daily flights to New York and Chicago.
