Andhra farmer’s son ranks 3rd in civil services

Gopala Krishna Ronanki, 30, who emerged as a topper in the two Telugu speaking states in all-India civil services examination 2016 had never been to any coaching class. Nor can he boast of any IIT or IIM academic credentials.

Coming from an extremely poor background, Ronanki has proved that there is no substitute to hard work and poverty is not an impediment to success.

He has secured the third rank in the all-India civil services examination 2016 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

Ronanki’s father Ronanki Appa Rao is a farmer from Parasamba village in Palasa block of Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh.
