India tour of West Indies: Rishabh Pant replaces Rohit Sharma in 15-member squad
A full-strength Indian team will travel to the Caribbean islands. However, exciting young wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant will replace Rohit, who returned to international cricket during India’s Champions Trophy campaign in England.
Rohit was in fine form at the top of the order making 91 against Pakistan before smashing a more confident 78 against Sri Lanka. Pant has been in breathtaking form in the domestic circuit and was a further revelation during the IPL this year, putting some of the best bowlers in the world to the sword.
Pant had debuted for India in T20 Internationals earlier this year against India in Bangalore.
