Two militants killed in Sopore encounter

Two militants were killed on Monday morning in an anti-militancy operation in Baramulla’s Sopore area.

A police spokesman said the militants were killed in an encounter with the police, the army’s 22 RR and CRPF in Check-e-Brath Sopore, 55 know north of Srinagar.

He said the operation is on. “The identity and affiliation of the slain militants are being ascertained,” said the spokesman.

An operation was launched in the morning in the area to nab hiding militants.
