Two militants killed, one captured in Kulgam

Security forces on Monday killed two militants in an overnight gunfight in Kulgam district of Kashmir and caught alive one, police said.

The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Khudwani area of Kulgam district following specific information about the presence of some militants there, a police spokesperson said.

During searches, the militants opened fire at the security force,s who retaliated, leading to a gunfight.

On Sunday, two local Hizb-ul-Mujahideen members were killed, while one surrendered in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district.
